Kunming Tongren Hospital is located at No. 1099, Guangfu Road, Dianchi National Tourist Resort, Kunming City. It is controlled by the Tongren Medical Industry Group. In July 2023, the hospital officially passed the tertiary hospital evaluation and was designated as a "Class III Grade A Hospital" by the Yunnan Provincial Health Commission.

The hospital covers an area of approximately 286 acres, with a designed capacity of 1,000 beds, of which 500 are currently available. It employs nearly 1,000 staff, including more than 100 experts with associate senior titles or higher. The hospital has established several certified centers, including a Chest Pain Center, Stroke Center, Trauma Center, Atrial Fibrillation Center, Heart Failure Center, Hypertension Standardization Center, and a network emergency station of the Yunnan Provincial Emergency Center. It also operates 37 clinical departments, 7 medical technology departments, and 4 functional examination rooms. High-standard facilities such as laminar flow operating rooms, ICU, and CCU provide strong support for the development of various medical disciplines.

In 2016, Kunming Tongren Hospital passed a joint evaluation by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education and the Yunnan Provincial Health Commission, officially becoming an affiliated hospital of Kunming Medical University Haiyuan College. In December 2024, the hospital became a teaching hospital of Kunming Medical University. In 2017, with the approval of the Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Kunming Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the hospital established the "Su Guohui Academician Workstation" and the "Kunming Spinal Cord Injury Research Academician Workstation." From 2020 to 2024, the hospital collaborated with renowned domestic experts to establish several expert workstations, including those of Fan Junming, Feng Limin, Xu Wangbin, He Shuangba, Liu Yin, Chen Jie, Han Chao, Li Shiting, Zhang Hao, and Su Guohui. In 2023, based on the recommendation of Kunming Tongren Hospital, Academician Su Guohui and Professor Fan Junming were recognized as "Spring City Industry Mentors" by the Talent Work Leading Group of the Kunming Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China.
