Medical Visa (S2 Visa)
To seek medical treatment in China, you need to apply for an S2 visa (Short-term Private Affairs Visa – Medical Treatment).
Process: Online review → Embassy interview → Submission at Visa Centre
Step 1: Complete and submit the application online
Log on to the website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (https://visaforchina.cn/DAC3_EN/). Complete the Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China online, print the form with the barcode after submission, and keep it for the interview.
Step 2: Go to the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh for an interview.
Time: After the online review is passed, go directly to the Embassy on a working day at 9:50 AM.

Required Documents: Bring the printed "Visa Application Form Front Page" and the original application materials listed below for the consular officer's interview. If the interview is passed, the front page of the form will be stamped with "Interview Passed".
Step 3: Submit documents at the Dhaka Chinese Visa Application Service Centre
Take the application form stamped with "Interview Passed" and go directly to the "Medical Application Window" at the Dhaka Chinese Visa Application Service Centre to submit all required documents.
Required Documents for Visa:
1.Original passport and a copy of the information page (passport validity must exceed 6 months).
2.Completed and signed Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China.
3.Recent color passport photo with a white background.
4.Official invitation letter or admission notice from a medical institution in China (this is a key document for the medical visa application. It should be issued by the hospital you plan to visit in Kunming and must include the patient's information, a brief description of the illness, proposed treatment plan, and estimated hospitalisation/treatment period).
5.Diagnosis certificate, medical records, and test reports from a local hospital in Bangladesh (it is recommended to include English translations).
6.Proof of relationship: If family members accompany you, provide copies of proof of relationship (e.g., marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc.).
7.Bank statement :Documents demonstrating sufficient funds to cover medical and living expenses in China (e.g., bank statement).
8.Others: Additional documents may be required as per the request of the Embassy/Consulate or Visa Centre.
Tourist Visa (L Visa)
Step 1: Complete the application online and submit
Log on to the official website of the Chinese Visa Application Service Centre (https://www.visaforchina.cn/), register an account, fill out the visa application form online, and upload electronic copies of all required application documents as per system instructions.
Step 2: Wait for the initial online review
ØAfter submission, monitor your email and log in to the website to check the application status.
Ø If the status shows "Online review completed", the initial review is passed, and you can proceed to the next step.
Ø If the status indicates a need for modification or additional documents (e.g., "To be modified"), you must make the required changes within 3 working days.
Ø In a few cases, the system may require scheduling an in-person interview (status will show "Video interview to be scheduled").
Step 3: Submit passport and biometric information in person
After the initial review is passed, you or your representative must go to the Dhaka Chinese Visa Application Service Centre to submit the physical documents.
Documents to bring:
1. Original passport with validity of at least 6 months.
2. Printed visa application confirmation form (generated by the system after the initial review is passed).
3. One recent color passport photo with a white background (size 33mm x 48mm).
4. Original documents as required in the application materials.
5. Fingerprint collection: Applicants usually need to appear in person for fingerprint collection.
6. Fee payment: Pay the visa fee and service fee at the Visa Centre.
Step 4: Collect your passport
After submitting your passport, you can collect it (with the visa affixed) from the Visa Centre on the date indicated on the pickup slip (typically the 4th working day for normal processing, or the 3rd working day for expedited processing).
Required Documents for Online Application:
1.Invitation letter from a travel agency in China.
2. Round-trip flight booking confirmation.
3. Confirmed hotel reservation (prepaid).
4.Detailed travel itinerary within China.
5.Bank statement (the required amount is a minimum of USD 100 per day of the trip).
